Embracing our achievements

Hi, tribe!

I hope you are enjoying this series. We received lots of positive feedback on our last post – making peace with our past. If you haven’t read it yet, I suggest you go check it out! ๐Ÿ˜Š

In preparation for kissing this year goodbye, we first wrote a letter to our 2020 selves full of hope and encouragement. We then made amends with our past (see above! ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿป).

Now… Now, it is time to give credit where credit is due.

We can’t choose a path for this new season without first acknowledging all of our accomplishments!

It is so easy to let the world, social media, our coworkers, our friends, and even our family make us feel like we’re not doing enough.

How many of us have felt like we are majorly sucking at getting all. the. things. done? ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

When we think about all the things we’re missing out on, the tasks pending in our forever long (and constantly growing) to-do queue, it’s easy for us to slip into low self-esteem and even depression.

But, on the flip side, if we choose to focus on things we are grateful for (look at my past posts. I am huge on this. For real) and our accomplishments, we re-wire our brains to be more positive.

And when we’re more positive, we’re more productive.

And productivity increases our success rate.

See what we’re working on here?

Last week, we made peace with the not-so-great things we’ve been lugging around with us.

Now, it’s time to acknowledge all of the kick asss things we’ve done!

My biggest personal accomplishment is by far putting myself through college while raising a family. It makes me feel like I am sitting on top of the world knowing how far I’ve come through my own hard work and perseverance.

I am so unbelievably proud of myself for becoming an RN.

What are you most proud of?

Let’s make another list, this time of all the things we’ve accomplished to date.

Did you pay your bills on time this month? Freaking awesome!

Are you raising some amazing, out of this world children that you love more than life itself? You rock, mama (and dad!).

Are you successful in your career? Get it!

Are you an amazing homemaker who makes it look effortless to maintain a beautiful home? Girl, you are KILLING it!! Not all of us have those talents!

Big wins and little wins all count here. Give yourself credit for all of the amazing things you have accomplished so far, and light that fire within so we can bring ALL THE ENERGY to next year!

I hope this post has motivated you, inspired you, and made you love yourself a little more.

We are only just beginning โค๏ธ I believe in you, and I know you are going to do so many wonderful things!
