Hello, 2020!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I hope you all had a FANTASTIC time saying goodbye to last year, and welcoming all the new and exciting opportunities that lay ahead of us now.

New year. New decade. A new me.

I am SO ready to do all. the. things.

I’ve mentioned this before, but I was never really a “new years resolution” type. Because I didn’t want to change. I spent much of my twenties navigating single parenting, failed relationships, raising a family while going to college. I spent so many years just keeping my head above water, trying to survive.

I started dating my first husband when we were just sixteen years old. We grew up together. And when our marriage fell apart, I lost a huge part of myself.

I couldn’t find people to love me, so I had a hard time loving myself. I didn’t know what parts of me to change to make me more appealing.

Guys. Let me tell you, your worth is never defined by others.

I used to be so codependent on others that I would take my friends’ kids to the grocery store when my own children were with their other parent. I’m not making that up. It happened. I’m sure my friends appreciated the break, but c’mon!

If you can’t enjoy your own company, you need to figure out how to love yourself ASAP.

It has taken me a long time to lean into who I really am, and embrace myself, flaws and all.

2020 is going to be about self-love and self-discovery, because you can’t give others – your kids, your spouse, your family, friends – the best version of yourself if you don’t know who that is.

Are you comfortable making goals? Are you ready for more in your life?

Wanting to be a better version of ourselves isn’t selfish. It’s a necessity. If we aren’t constantly looking for self-improvement, then we’re not making progress.

I hope you all join us this new year as we make progress and accomplish our goals, and I hope you learn something along the way as well ❀️

This year, I hope to inspire others to live more intentional, more positive lives. I hope to encourage others to show up more for their friends and their families but more importantly, I want to encourage you to show up more for yourself.

This year, let’s lean in and embrace change.

  3. LOVE this! Especially your quote, “No one can define your worth except you”
We would all be so much better off if we could 100% believe this!
