This picture hangs by our front door. I see it every day, coming and going.
Most days it makes me smile, and warmth and love fills me from head to toe.
Sometimes I wonder if I could go back in time, and tell that girl blinded by love what the road ahead would hold.
What would I tell her?
Would I tell her about all the fights? The nights we’d both go to bed angry? All the tears that would be shed?
I look at our faces in the picture. So full of hope, and love.
My fingers brush the frame as I pass by and I think, I wouldn’t tell her any of those things.
That love got us through some of the worst moments of our lives, and although we’ve wanted to quit many times, we’ve grown closer together because we always choose each other.
If I could go back, I would tell her of the moments that mattered.
How we loved and grieved together.
The tears that were shed only because we laughed too hard.
How his chest would be the best place to lay on.
How, no matter how many disagreements would be had, that they would always come together in the end.
